About this Site
This site seeks to inform the New Mexico lawyer and client of current case law interpreting the Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution and Article II, Section 10 of the New Mexico Constitution.
This site will report all published Tenth Circuit and New Mexico decisions related to search and seizure law as well as many decisions interpreting 42 U.S.C. Section 1983 in the area of civil rights litigation. This site will also select unpublished search and seizure decisions from the Tenth Circuit and the United States District Court of New Mexico for review. I will also seek to highlight current trends in the law and supplement current case summaries with case reviews on particular areas of search and seizure law.
Our goal is to enable experienced practioners to remain current on cases affecting their clients, to enable lawyers with little experience in Section 1983 claims to recognize claims and advise clients accordingly, and to empower citizens to become educated and to have the courage to exercise their civil rights.
